Cookie Policy
Effective date: November 5, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how SweepTakers uses cookies and similar browser storage on https://sweeptakers.com. It is part of our Privacy Policy.
The short version
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in, plus settings your browser keeps for you. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, tracking pixels, social media plugins, or any other third-party trackers. Because of that, we don't show a cookie banner: there is nothing to opt in to or out of.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store and send back on later visits. Browsers also offer similar storage, such as "local storage", that stays on your device.
Cookies we use
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
Authentication cookies, named starting with sb- (for example, sb-…-auth-token, which may be split into numbered parts) | Keep you signed in and let our servers confirm who you are when you open your dashboard. Set by our own website through our authentication provider, Supabase. | Strictly necessary, first-party | Until you sign out, or until the session expires |
st_ref | Remembers the referral link you opened (its code only), so that if you create an account, the member who shared it and you can get the referral reward described in our Rewards Program Terms. Set only when you open a referral link; never used to track you elsewhere. | Functional, first-party | 30 days |
The authentication cookies are strictly necessary for signing in. If you block them, you can still browse the sweepstakes feed and read our pages, but you will not be able to sign in. If you block st_ref, a referral link you open won't be remembered, and the referral won't count.
Settings stored in your browser
Some parts of the site may remember choices you make on your device, such as a display setting, by storing them in your browser (in a cookie or local storage). These settings are kept on your device, are used only to make the site work the way you chose, and are never used to track you.
Counting "Sponsored Ad" listings
When a listing labeled "Sponsored Ad" in a list of sweepstakes has been on your screen, or you open it, your browser sends us a count so we can tell the sponsor how often its listing was seen and opened. This uses no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. See "Featured listing counts" in our Privacy Policy.
Third parties
No third party sets cookies or uses tracking technologies through our website. When you go to the secure payment page run by our payment processor, Stripe, you are on Stripe's website, and Stripe may use its own cookies there, for example to prevent fraud, under Stripe's cookie policy. Sponsor websites you visit from our feed have their own cookie policies.
Our fonts are served from our own website, so loading our pages does not contact any font or advertising service.
The Chrome extension
The SweepTakers Chrome extension does not use cookies. It keeps its own data in Chrome's extension storage, as described in our Chrome Extension Privacy & Data Disclosure.
Your choices
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking our authentication cookies will prevent you from signing in.
We honor Global Privacy Control signals and respond to "Do Not Track" signals the same way. Since we do not sell or share personal information, these signals don't change how our cookies work. See Your Privacy Choices.
Changes
If we ever add a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will update this policy before we do, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
